A little preview

Okay, so here is a sneak preview of our kitchen/dining room floor. We were blessed to be able to receive solid oak 2 1/4 inch slat hardwood floor that we chose to stain a golden brown color to accent the kitchen cabinets. NOW, notice the wall before you that is a lovely shade of Tiffany sort of blue...it won't be for long. Keep reading.

It feels like Christmas came early as yesterday morning a jolly ole' fellow happily knocked on our door and said, "Delivery!" with a ho, ho, ho under his breath. Brian was sure to inform me that it was not a ho, ho, ho but rather a umph, ummm, uhhh as he carried in a heavy cabinet. A girls' gotta dream, you know!!! The wood is a beautiful hickory with knots riddled throughout all of the cabinets.

Our new kitchen/dining room colors. The 3 walls of the kitchen are a lovely shade of yellow-ish color. The actual name is called Chai Latte - fitting don't you think for a girl whose drink of choice is a Chai latte (with soy I might add). The cherry/red-ish sort of color is called Grenadine which is a cross between a cherry/raspberry color. It gives this room so much life - I love it! Now only to see the kitchen cabinets installed on Monday :-)


Always a fantastic way to end a post, but with the smiling faces of my beautiful children!
