A New Day

Today was a very special day for me! My oldest, dearly beloved son made the decision that it was time to be baptized, time to stand strong in his faith, time to publicly say before God and all who were present that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior now and forever!!! The bible talks about baptism as a symbol of dying to our 'old' self (the one that lives for self only) and being raised with a 'new' self (one who lives for God alone.)
{the flash was a bit funky so pics aren't that great.}

I stood next to him his towel in hand, with tears in my eyes and a joy in my heart.

"Thank you Lord for getting a hold of this young mans heart! As he walks with you, will you provide wisdom and discernment, compassion and mercy, courage and direction."

Wanna guess what we did today???

I'll give you a hint: lots of fluids, soft foods only, plenty of rest!

REVISED: {Those who guessed wisdom teeth were correct!!! Tanner had all four of them removed early this morning. When he arrived, the nurse asked him if he would like them to take home...umm sure?!? So...still can't figure out the hole in one?}

Spring has SPRUNG!

Man oh man...high 60's in Seattle?!? Must be a heat-wave. Either that or spring is definitely here for sure. It's been a beautiful week! BUT, the wind has picked up and the rain is on it's way. Oh well, pretty flowers right?!?

Still totally enamored with 'cheerleading'! I happened to snap this one in the middle of her cheer, "twist him like a pretzel...go Dalton."

"You want me to do what?" {notice the hand on the hip - little girly attitude! This has been a regular in our house these days.}

She's thinking the 'headband' is funny!

Now, there is more going on in this picture. First, Princess Abigail is pretty proud of herself that she managed to toss the basketball in the hoop and make a basket! What she doesn't understand is why Tanner is cracking up and Noah is moaning on the ground. Notice location of basket!?!

Spending a little time with sidewalk chalk.

You go girlfriend, clean out all those dust-bunnies! This actually took place while hubby and I were away for the weekend and Princess was at home with brothers and Grandma.

What can I say...teenage boys!
