And the celebrations continue...

My dear sweet Princess Abigail!!!
The most happiest birthday to you ever my love!
Wishing you the most delightful day filled with love and joy.

Enjoying a little of Noah's birthday cake since she was asleep last night by the time we had cake.

Her 1st present of the day...a Rapunzel doll from her big brother Dalton.

 Birthday "connect four" zombies.

Literally, you point the camera in her direction and she usually puts on a "glamour face"

New party dress...though we are pretty convinced now (not sure why it took me this long) that Abigail has some sort of 'skin sensory' issue as she literally cannot have clothes covering her arms/legs. She resists/fights wearing long sleeves, coats, sweaters, pants, shorts, etc - not your typical 'I don't want to wear a coat' either. Her skin will literally begin to crawl and she will go into contortions. AND she has to wear cotton. Any other fiber material and she will pull and pull at it saying, "it's itchy, it's itchy, get it off!", which was the case with this beautiful dress. We managed to get it on for a photo and if you notice how she will barely pinch the sides of it with her fingers...doing all she can not to touch the material.

Thankfully, 2 other "COTTON" outfits from her auntie/uncle! Of course by this time she was so irritated with trying on clothes that she wasn't too happy to pose for these.

"What-What??!?!?!"

 Mommy and the birthday girl!

Daddy and the birthday girl!

 Tanner and the birthday girl

 Birthday Princess

 Grandma and the birthday Princess

Grandpa and the birthday Princess...doesn't my dad look great having survived cancer!!! He's scheduled to have one of his knees replaced in a few weeks, praying for his health before that so he can go through with it!

It's the birthday buddies...super fun to share birthdays together

Abigail was showered with gifts all day long...rather we managed to space out the disbursement so that she could enjoy them throughout the whole day!

So...after a great 'birthday' day we had a TOTAL EPIC FAIL when the cake that I was frosting managed to slide its way off the counter and onto the floor/kitchen mat!!! As Abigail stood there watching me frost and witness first hand the disaster, she so calmly replied, "That is so disappointing!!!"

So what does any mother do when something like this happens...I grabbed 4 candles, placed them steadily into the cake and lit them. We called the brothers in and sat on the floor singing Happy Birthday to her. I then handed her a fork and said, "dig in" and we managed to eat the middle of the cake, top side up! I wasn't going to miss the opportunity...though a silly one...to eat cake off the floor!

Happy Birthday Miss Abigail
You are so loved!!!

Happy Belated Birthday!! So cute (of course, I would not have reacted so calmly!!). Cake is good at any elevation!
Still working on a reunion - how about Colorado in June 2012 at CCAI Culture camp?
