Yesterday my dearly beloved son Tanner, aka Mr. Awesome, had his 16th birthday and you wanna know how he celebrated it???

No, he wasn't sick
Or injured
Thank goodness he didn't have to spend time in jail either!

and just in case you were wondering, he didn't spend the day delightfully cleaning up after himself or catering to my every whim.
No...rather I picked up a couple of his friends who delightfully piled on his bed (as though it were a trampoline with Tanner in it) and began bouncing it violently at 6:00am. Now remember this is a kid who is homeschooled and has no particular wake up time in the morning (his friends are the same). It wasn't until he grumpily (is that even a word) rolled over and asked in his most "unpolite" voice "what are you doing?" that we found out he stayed up until 3:30am playing a game online with a buddy of his. Oh well Tanner, that was your own dumb fault I guess :0)
(yes Mr. Awesome is wearing make-up. No not for fun, rather it was for a halloween party)
I then proceeded to make them breakfast ~ homemade coffee cake (Tanner's favorite), scrambled eggs, waffles...
We then had another friend surprise Tanner and just show up at our house in the afternoon so he could join us for dinner out.
Of course then up to the high school to set up for today's big championship tournament that we are all working for the day.
Tanner, I love you beyond measure! You are such a delight to me and your dad. We adore you.
