What is it with the week before _________ (you can fill it in ~ vacation, important meeting where your job depends on it, family reunion, special occasion, or lets say a championship wrestling tournament) something happens!!!
I'll never forget Dalton's 7th grade year ~ his first ever wrestling, he went undefeated his whole season and 2 days before the finals he broke his hand in 2 places during a normal wrestling practice. He was done...finished...in a cast for the next 6-8 weeks.
Well, today is no different. Nope not a hand this time, but instead he broke his nose during practice. He went in for a double leg take-down with one of his coaches and when the coach spun around to get out of it he clocked him in the eye socket, which led to the bone that butts up to eye socket breaking. Pain, swelling, bruising. And did I mention just 5 days before the District Championship wrestling tournament that determines if any wrestler will continue on to potentially wrestle in the big WA state wrestling tournament. Ugh...
Which can only leave me...knee-bound. On my knees praying for my dear sweet boy for healing and restoration so that he doesn't miss out on this last opportunity as a senior!
