Yesterday was a difficult day.
In a previous post last fall, I posted that my dad was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. The initial course of treatment was to go through radiation for 5 weeks to shrink the tumor. After which time he would have another pet-scan to determine how his body responded to the treatment.
Last Tuesday he got the results of that pet-scan, which revealed that the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes in his stomach. They also sent him in for a further MRI due to some suspicious spots.
Yesterday, we were informed that those suspicious spots were in fact more cancer that they found in his liver, spleen and the lymph nodes at the base of his spine.
Friday he will have the port surgically placed into his chest and will begin his regimen of Chemotherapy for the next weeks/months.
WOW ~ can you say a lot to digest??

My heart and prayers go out to you and your dad.
So sorry you are having to deal with this with your dad. Cancer sucks. I'll keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
